1. pick 2. fret 3. end of first note have to take it off right at next moment

if too early: there’s a) gap b) a little noise
if too late: there’s a) bleeding b) sloppiness c) fingers have less time to move to next note which slows you down

2. take picking-hand trills on every string, usually on pair of frets using every pairs of finger – a) any b) pentatonics c) any other lick that is not as fast & clean as you would like – make sure string no longer vibrating when move to next string

3. play lick at full speed, then visualize, then ghost 2 mins each, then play at half-speed, then visualize at half-speed, then ghost at half-speed (6 step cycle)
