1. choose a common chord progression from  Common Chord Progressions

2. play it in the original key presented using, if neccessary, barre chords

3. rewrite it in the original key and play it with the appropriate 7th chords by consulting pages 3 & 4 of Harmonized Scale Chart

4. play the progression; you may need to consult 5 chord types

5. transpose original triad progression up a minor 3rd (ex: if written in C, now you are in Eb)

5. play it in new key with triad chords

6. rewrite it in new key with the appropriate 7th chords

7. play it in new key with 7th chords
