Bass – overview

overview of bass skills required:

– root notes (esp. lower 2 strings, frets 0 to 7)
– play in time (whole, quarters, etc.)
– roots & fifths
– roots, 3rds & fifths
– octaves on strings 1 & 2
– other scale tones (2, 4, 6, 7)
– walking (quarters on scale tones with emphasis on chord tones
– sycning up with bass drum
– above fret 7 on lower 2 strings
– scales (min pent, blues, maj pent, maj scale, min scale, other)
